Crunchy or Smooth - What flavor of RPG fits you?
/Rogue Trader – Having played through the starter adventure for Rogue Trader, I feel like I have a decent grasp of the system. It seems to me that the system provides enough details to play as a cruchy numbers game, while still being fun if you play fast and loose.
Having talked with my player group it seems that most of them like the looser style I used and they prefer to play out the story rather than worry about how to work the system and make their characters god (for now at least). Although it seems that everyone's having fun, I can't help but have this nagging feeling that some of the players want a more crunchy game and they've focused their character to take advantage of the raw numbers.
It seems to me that I can just ignore this nagging feeling and continue to plug away as I have been and the group should still have fun. Or should I make more of an effort to play up the crunchy number aspect of the game?
