Stormcast Eternals
/Age of Sigmar – I don’t typically get a tone of Age of Sigmar models on my painting table but when I do they are quite fun to paint. Rebranding and reimagining the Fantasy line was probably one of the best things Games Workshop could do. Not being tied to the Old World any longer each new faction they release is dynamic and unique to their IP. With Warhammer 40,000 Space Marines have been the iconic unit since it’s inception, Warhammer Fantasy didn’t really have anything that wasn’t tied to generic fantasy (other than the Chaos Warrior … but it’s hard to push the bad guy as your “Face”). The launch of Age of Sigmar brought forth the fantasy equivalent of the Space Marines – Stormcast Eternals, which are the latest project to grace my painting table.
Much like Space Marines, Stormcast Eternals are built to make them your own, with a plethora of vaults scattered throughout the realms it’s easy to make up your own color scheme and still fit within the fluff, something that was significantly more difficult in the well-defined Old World.
This project features a small force of Eternals in a bone, purple and silver color scheme.
