Shadows of Brimstone - Feral Kin

Board Games – Shadows of Brimstone reminds me an awful lot of RIFTS or GURPS, as a kid going into the comic shop/game store I’d see entire shelves dedicated to the myriad of expansions these open ended games systems offered up. Shadows of Brimstone has the same feel, in the course of painting the various sets I’ve painted cowboys, astronauts, mutant snakes, Native Americans, aliens, robots, and a variety of other monsters.

This latest batch is for the Feral Kin expansion which of course adds werewolves to the mix of monsters you can fight in this crazy adventure game. These were probably the least impressive sculpts I’ve had to paint for this line. Werewolf sculpts can be super impressive or they can look like soft fuzzy blobs, these fall somewhere in the middle. The fur isn’t well defined and the poses are very limited but they serve their purpose and look ok once they’re painted up.
