Blood and Plunder - Pirates!

Historical – I remember when the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie came out and the flood of pirates in pop culture that followed. It was pretty crazy seeing pirates everywhere, of course that trend disappeared and was replaced with a new hot property every few years. Of course historical gamers are never ones to follow the trend which is probably why Blood and Plunder is just now making it’s way to my painting table.
I painted up a full faction box for the Unaligned Pirates. These are metal one piece sculpts which used to be very typical of most historical games. The sculpts are pretty decent and you get a good variety in the box. With the paint I opted to keep the color pallet simple red, blue and brown by alternating where these colors appear I was able to get a good variety of looks while keeping the force cohesive looking.
