Ghostbusters - Board Game Painted Up

Board Games – Several years ago the Ghostbusters board game was on Kickstarter. When I finally got it in hand I played it once and put the game on the shelf. It’s not because the game was bad but more so because the game is involved and unless you want to play solo getting people dedicated to playing through a boar game campaign is hard.

Now that Afterlife is coming out I felt like busting out the game to give it a go. My kids are older now and very interested in the shelves of complicated board games I own. Unfortunately because I paint so many models they don’t think you can play a game until it’s painted. So in order to get this on the table I needed to get some paint on the models. Luckily most of the ghosts are cast in transparent plastic so the number of models to paint was relatively small.

In addition to the original four from the films the game came with the expanded universe models from the IDW comic line. These models aren’t super detailed they’re a similar scale to Zombicide and the models are based on the cartoony look of the comics. So when it came to paint I stuck with contrast over some base colors just to give a general impression of the look from the comics. The end result is decent and should be enough to make them look good on the table.
