Universal Monsters Starring in Horrified

Board Games - One of my clients was nice enough to theme this months commissions on spooky games with a Halloween vibe. This latest game I’m painting goes back to the classics. Horrified is a board game featuring the classic Universal Monsters. From what I can gather you choose a monster and it attacks the village, players work together to stop them. The game has some nice components and the miniatures look just like the monsters you know and love from those classic movies. I do wish that the games designers pushed that “classic” vibe further by doing the game in grayscale, but logistically I imagine that would be hard to play.
Since the game is in full color I opted to paint the monsters in Techicolor glory trying to match the look of the old movie posters. I think it worked out pretty well. My only complaint is how soft the wraps on the mummy and invisible man were. Because they lacked detail I couldn’t just wash and dry brush and instead had to pick out the bandages with a fine brush.
