Malifaux – It’s been awhile since I painted up any Malifaux models. Back when I started this site I was almost exclusively focused on this hor new game that used cards instead of dice. Spring forward a decade and they rarely cross my desk, which is a little sad because the plastic models are quite beautiful once you get them assembled. I still question some of the break downs but man, if you want a nice looking model look no further than Wyrd.
The Ortegas were one of my favorite Guild crews from the first edition of the game. Those old metal models had a ton of character but they did suffer from being so unique across crews that the range didn’t always look like it went together. Now with these plastics the models feel in-scale and well tied together. Not to mention the 3D sculpts look just like the illustrations for the most part.
