On the painting table ... Scythe Expansion

Board Games – While I haven't had a chance to play it yet Scythe has been racking up acclaim all around the internet. From what I've heard it's an elegant system that is very simple but tactically deep. The models are very nice and my latest project brought the scottish and asian factions to my painting table.
As with the previous models I did my client wants them to look chipped and worn while keeping the faction color prominent. To do this I start by painting the whole model gunmetal and bronze. After a heavy wash of earthshade, I go back in and carefully apply the faction color in a streaky pattern leaving the edges the metallic color. Looking at how things naturally wear, sharp edges tend to get beat up the worst.
